We are often told that we must pick and choose we cannot physically “do it all”, there just aren’t enough hours in the day. However, “they” also say that it is critical to incorporate essentials into our lives such as friends, family and fitness on a daily basis. So, how do we make this a reality?! Let’s dive into it and explore three useful tips on how to “do it all.”

1. Create a Working Calendar

An esthetically pleasing, well laid out calendar should be your BEST FRIEND. Seeing our commitments and “to do” list at-a-glance allows us to avoid unnecessary stressors. We feel in charge, organized and able to mentally and physically prepare for each activity throughout the day. Calendars help us to be more productive, prioritize, stay on track and showcase what we have accomplished. An over-planned calendar with excessive or overlapping commitments, can often also be a great reminder to slow down and take a much needed break.

2. Prioritize “Me” Time

Taking care of ourselves should always be a priority. It is not worth sacrificing our health and happiness, for that extra hour of work or social event that will succeed with or without us attending. Self-care keeps our minds in check, helps us be more productive and cleanses our souls. Overall, it helps us all to be more effective and energetic. Taking 20 minutes before bed to refocus, go over our goals and priorities, do a face mask, meditate or go for a 15-minute bike ride could be life changing.

Finding ways to incorporate the necessities of life together with family, friends and fitness is a win-win scenario. What could be better than going for a walk with a friend where you’re spending quality time catching up as well as getting your heart rate up! Rather than running on the treadmill and listening to music, do your workout while catching up on your favourite business podcast. Or, have a meeting with a colleague over lunch. There are so many easy ways to incorporate multi-tasking into your life to save time and money as well as leaving you feeling more accomplished and happier at the end of the day.
