How do I choose the best cycling shorts or tights for me?

It's simple. Choose shorts that make you feel good and look your best. Our chamois come in different densities. The low-profile, single-density ones are preferable for shorter rides, indoor riding, and multi-sport events like triathlons. Our double and triple-density chamois are better for longer rides. But, ultimately, it's a personal choice, so go with what works best for you.

Why do I need cycling shorts?

Padded cycling shorts are the second most important piece of a cycling outfit after a helmet. Padded cycling shorts provide protection against soreness and chafing in the pelvic area, so you can focus on enjoying your ride.

Love my winter bib

This is the best winter bib. Warm enough in cold temps… I rode at 1 degree Celsius and found then to be nice and toasty. The fit is perfect. I am usually a small, but had tried on the medium as that’s all they had as a prototype. I ordered the medium, only to find them a bit too big. When I contacted Samsara they did a video call with me and suggested to size down to a small, after seeing the medium on me. They sent me a small immediately and they’re perfect. Thank you Samsara! I love your brand and commitment to ensuring that we, as female cyclists, look great in all your apparel. I am a big fan and will continue to order as you bring out new pieces and beautiful prints.

Thoughtfully designed

These winter tights are perfect. They are high quality fabric (I have tried a few other brands and these are by far the best) and designed with so many thoughtful details. They have a high front, a wide back, perfect side pockets, and they kept me the most perfect temperature on my ride. Love them! Worth the investment for sure. I am 5'8" and about 145lb ish - I bought a small and found they fit perfectly (excellent stretch in the fabric for a great fit).

I have worn the tights on several cool/cold weather rides in the past 2 weeks, they have kept me warm and the fit is good - although I find that the straps press into my shoulders more than I would like (I am 5'4" and wear a size small).
