How do I choose the best cycling shorts or tights for me?

It's simple. Choose shorts that make you feel good and look your best. Our chamois come in different densities. The low-profile, single-density ones are preferable for shorter rides, indoor riding, and multi-sport events like triathlons. Our double and triple-density chamois are better for longer rides. But, ultimately, it's a personal choice, so go with what works best for you.

Why do I need cycling shorts?

Padded cycling shorts are the second most important piece of a cycling outfit after a helmet. Padded cycling shorts provide protection against soreness and chafing in the pelvic area, so you can focus on enjoying your ride.

When our customers asked for a Samsara Tri Suit that would give them the same mix of fit, design and technical features they enjoy in our cycling apparel, we were delighted to deliver. We designed our Performance Triathlon Suit to meet the specific needs of women in all three sports without sacrificing on the comfort and functionality you need to stand out for your performance and style.

• Lightweight, 4-way stretch fabric
• Breathable, moisture-wicking and UV-protective
• Mesh panels and full front zip in case you want to pull the top down
• Double-density Elastic Interface® chamois specifically designed to address the needs of women triathletes, with maximum breathability and quick dry fabric, high elasticity for freedom of movement in swimming and running, plus extra support to alleviate pressure while cycling
• Our signature front full zip gives added flexibility for run and easier bathroom breaks. Zipper flaps on the inside protect skin from chaffing
• Two back pockets with secure side entry for quick access to gels, etc
• Compressive shorts with ribbed silicone grip on leg band to keep them in place
• No sausage legs or diaper butt – we promise!
• Flatlock seams to eliminate chafing

• Our Triathlon Suits are designed to have a tight compression fit (a little tighter than our cycling gear), so if you are between sizes or prefer less compression, we recommend going up a size

How does the Performance Suit compare to our Cruise Tri Suit?

Both Samsara triathlon suit styles are designed for maximum comfort and enhanced performance - and are rated for Ironman distances!

The main difference between our tri suit styles is the fit. Our Cruise Suit is made with a more streamlined fit, including a higher waistline and a slightly longer 9” shorts. The Cruise Suit also offers more pockets (4 x back pockets).

Great suit!

I raced a sprint this weekend in my new suit and it did not disappoint! Super comfortable, the chamois was great for the bike but did not notice it at all on the swim or run. The fabric is really nice as well and I liked the zip front. Sleeves and shorts stayed in place and did not roll up. I am 5'6, 137 lbs, and fit a 36" swimsuit, large was the right size for me.

Beautiful suit

I haven't tried outside yet because it's still too cold but did a trainer ride wearing it. It's comfortable. Paddling is great and material is light. love the colours.

The quality, fit and comfort of this tri suit is unmatched. It is beautifully and thoughtfully designed. I love the nutrition pocket at the back, and the bands on the shorts don’t cut into my legs. I love that you can unzip the jersey portion of the suit and keep the shorts on. It’s also extremely flattering, which makes me feel confident on race day.
